How long have you been a member of Fit Chick Express and what brought you here? I have been coming to Fit Chicks for 3 years. I met Angie at an event and signed up for her newsletter. I received her newsletter for over a year and finally took her up on a free two week trial.
What has been your greatest accomplishment since becoming a member of FCE? I finally felt good enough to be in my family pictures! I sent one to EVERYONE I knew and even had them framed and put up around our house! It is a reminder of how hard I worked to get to that “comfortable” place.
What keeps you motivated? What obstacles have you had to overcome? I have had many injuries, but love that the Fit Chicks team is so open to modifying workouts and it keeps me motivated to not give up.
What is your favorite part of FCE? My favorite part of Fit Chicks Express is knowing that I’m going to get a great workout in a short time! My time is very valuable and I need every minute to count! In 30 minutes I feel strong and confident when I leave! An added bonus…If you haven’t been for a while Angie will call you out! Funny thing is you’ll be back the next day ready to jump back in!!
What advice would you offer to newbies? Try everything Fit Chick has to offer! You won’t be disappointed!
In one sentence, how would you describe your experience at FCE. Fit Chick Express has given me a place to feel confident about myself and my body. I enjoy the other women that work out with me and feel motivated to continue my journey to being fit!

MEAL PLAN = Carb Cycling = moderate carbs for 5 days a week & low carbs 2 days week. No food restrictions (* if you know certain foods are inflammatory or allergenic for you, then you should keep them out of your diet, especially certain foods like wheat, dairy, corn. But if you’re fairly certain they don’t cause problems for you then you can keep them), but you will be expected to count your carbs to ensure not going over your daily allotment. If you want to do lower carb for more than 2 days a week, you can do that too!
Here are a few of the ways carb cycling can benefit you:
Lose weight without restricting calories or going “low carb”
Add lean muscle while lowering body fat levels at the same time

How long have you been a member of Fit Chick Express and what brought you here? I started coming this past summer. I have seen other members successfully building their strength and becoming more fit. Ann Noble encouraged me to begin coming.
What has been your greatest accomplishment since becoming a member of FCE? I have an increased energy level and confidence in persevering when feeling challenged.
What keeps you motivated? What obstacles have you had to overcome? Being around other women who are dedicated to bettering themselves has motivated me. It is always difficult for me to make time for myself.
What is your favorite part of FCE? I enjoy the people, especially the trainers.
What advice would you offer to newbies? Even if you can only dedicate a couple of days a week to be at FCE it is well worth the time.
In one sentence how would you describe your experience at FCE. I am encouraged and energized every time I come to FCE.
How long have you been a member of Fit Chick Express and what brought you here? I’ve been a member at Fit Chick for a little more than 2 years. I found Fit Chick because I was looking for a place that would be a place that felt comfortable to workout at and I would want to keep going. I don’t like the big athletic clubs that feel so impersonal. Fit Chick felt like a good fit from the beginning, I enjoy working out and feel supported and encouraged in my health and fitness.
What has been your greatest accomplishment since becoming a member of FCE? I have 4 active kids and I feel like my greatest accomplishment is being able to keep up with them. I can head out on a hike with them, bike rides and just running around with them.
What keeps you motivated? What obstacles have you had to overcome? I feel like I stay motivated because every time I put myself and my health first I recognize how much better I feel and how all those other things in my busy life will get done and I feel better when doing them. My biggest obstacle is myself! I was never one to exercise and exercising has never become a real habit in my life. I figure it’s never too late to make a change in your life and FCE is helping me make that change!
What is your favorite part of FCE? What advice would you offer to newbies? All the lovely people. Everyone is so wonderful, kind and supportive!

28 Day Cardio/Interval Challenge

What is an interval workout:
High intensity interval training (HIIT) is a form of exercise characterized by periods of hard work followed by brief periods of recovery or rest. This form of exercise is a highly efficient means of improving your fitness level and burning body fat. Why is HIIT superior to steady state cardio like jogging when it comes to fat burning? It’s because your body primarily uses sugar (glucose) during the intense exercise bout and uses stored body fat during the recovery phase as well as post-exercise. Your body also continues to burn fat hours after you complete your interval workout!
GOAL IN EACH WORKOUT: Track your reps per timed intervals or time your entire workout and increase or at least maintain the same amount of reps. You will be given a sheet to print out each workout for the week and mark down your reps and time. This will help you to push harder each time! Points will be given for each workout you complete. Point system will be explained once you join.

- Daily Workouts to do on your own at home with tracker (w/videos)
- HIIT/Finishers for after Boot Camp with tracker (or at home if you are not a member of FCE)
- Weight/Body Fat Measurements will need to be taken
- Modifications of exercises given if needed
Each challenger will be asked to set a REWARD for the end of their challenge, ie: new pair of shoes, new jeans, massage, etc. There will be one winner who has the most points from doing as many workouts as possible. TIE BREAKER will be based on whomever has lost the most body fat in the 28 days.

Your Instructors: Angie Marone & Bobbie Covert
We will meet 4 times over the 8 weeks, approximately for 1-1.5 hours to go over form of exercises, instruction of workouts, etc. Then they will be given workouts to do on their own, either at home or at a gym, with a tracking system that will be turned in at our next meeting. Workouts will be determined based on those with equipment and those with no equipment.
We will have one make up day for anyone that may have missed one of the training sessions.
We will have a Facebook or Email group for the kids to get extra support and so that we can check in with them on their off weeks.
We are looking at starting approximately the week of October 3rd or 1oth, taking the week off Thanksgiving off.
