How long have you been a member of Fit Chick Express and what brought you here? I joined FCE December 2012. A mother in my son’s Kindergarten class (Ann Noble) let me know about the 2 week free trail and I have been hooked ever since. I needed some outside motivation to lose the weight I had put on after having 3 boys and just couldn’t keep myself on track with dieting or an exercise program. Fit Chick Express became that motivator.
What has been your greatest accomplishment since becoming a member of FCE? My greatest accomplishment has been sticking with it even through health problems, busy times at work, and general ups and downs of life. I have also maintained my initial 13 lbs loss for 2 years and participated in a couple of 5k mud runs.
What keeps you motivated? What obstacles have you had to overcome? My motivation comes from the friends and support system I have gained through Fit Chick Express. You are never alone in your goals when you are a fit chick! The biggest obstacles have been my health. I have chronic sinusitis and asthma which makes working out a struggle at times. Even in my worst days of huffing and puffing through boot camp the trainers and other members are there to support me, check in with me, and encourage me onward.
What is your favorite part of FCE? Seeing friendly face every time I walk in. Knowing that there will always be another fit chick or trainer that will be happy to see me and that I will always fit right in no matter what is going on in my personal life. Everyone sense of humor helps too!
What advice would you offer to newbies? Push through the hard times. The first two weeks may seem impossible but it does get easier and more fun. Everyone struggles some days or has set backs, but the support will be there to help keep you motivated on your own health.
In one sentence how would you describe your experience at FCE? My experience at FCE has been life altering and self-affirming.
