Hello Fit Chicks and new Clients!!
My name is Jillian Ardoin. I’m originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana, and I have lived in Texas, California and have found a new home here in Colorado. I’m really excited about joining the wonderful Lauren Harmon at Body in Harmony and teaming up with Fit Chicks Express to provide this beautiful group of ladies with quality self-care. I can’t wait to meet you all and work with you in the near future! Until we meet here’s just a little bit about me, enjoy! Please stop by for a session or just to say hello 🙂
After I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Texas in Austin in 2004, I moved back to Louisiana and became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) in 2007. It was during my massage training that I was pulled towards receiving my first Rolfing® Structural Integration session to help with chronic back pains and knee issues; it was then that I immediately felt a calling to Colorado to become a Certified Rolfer™ of Structural Integration. So I planned for four years and saved my earnings and made it here to this lovely state. And I have happily found a new home here with many opportunities this beautiful community and region has to offer for which I’m very grateful.
I have been a student of dance since the age of three. I’ve taken many classes covering a variety of techniques including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Hip-Hop, Modern, Pilates, Contact-Improv and Break-Dancing. I was also a dance teacher for 10+years in Texas, California and in Louisiana;here I had my own dance company, “Breathe – Dance and Performance Collective.” As a Dancer-Athlete, I have a long list of injuries and structural mis-alignments that has kept my interest in a consistent pursuit of structural and energetic healing. I also deal with ongoing, deeply rooted, vehicle traumas that I’m continually present with and working on filtering out of my body by receiving Rolfing, Cranial-Sacral and Source Point sessions. I strive to integrate a Fascial Fitness program into my week by combining yoga, healthy eating habits, weekly Boot Camp classes at FCE and receiving bodywork to keep my mind and body in balance.
I strive to progressively share my ability as a healer and educator of the body. I am constantly in this endeavor by using my experience with movement/dancing, bodywork and expressing my knowledge of the body by facilitating ease of movement in my sessions. I strongly believe educational sessions are part of integral healing.
I’m trained in Rolfing® Structural Integration, Swedish & Deep Tissue Massage, Body Talk Access, Polarity Balancing for the Nervous and Immune System, Level I Reiki and Source Point Therapy®.
I believe in listening to my clients so there can be a mutual understanding of what he/she wants to accomplish within themselves; this will allow their true, original self to shine through. I strive to facilitate peace within the chaos of the connective tissue, AKA “The Fascial Web.” I believe this happens through a journey of filtering the pathways within the body, which allows energy to flow through more freely. This will ultimately promote ease of movement, deeper breathes and better communication within one’s self.
