1. How long have you been a member of Fit Chick Express and what brought you here?
I have been a member of Fit Chick Expess since LBCC days, probably about January of 2010. I had donated a gift certificate for a challenge and was offered a free trial. I got hooked and have continued ever since.
2. What has been your greatest accomplishment since becoming a member of FCE?
I have accomplished more than I had hoped for. All I was wanting was to lose weight, but I have gained a new perspective on that. I honestly donʼt even know how many pounds or inches Iʼve lost total (which has been a substantial amount), however I now feel better, stronger, healthier, thinner, and happier. Since I started I have ran a few 5kʼs, lost weight and inches, gained confidence and strength and met an amazing group of supportive women.
3. What keeps you motivated? What obstacles have you had to overcome?
What motivates me is the results I have achieved and being a strong, healthy role model for my three daughters. Trying to justify the cost (time and money) for me to commit to myself was a difficult obstacle at first. Now one of the most difficult parts is eating right. The challenges have helped me over come that.
3. What is your favorite part of FCE?
My favorite part about FCE is that I can get a great workout done before my day even starts. I work much harder when I am there with other people and having a set class time holds me accountable to schedule the time for myself.
4. What advice would you offer to newbies?
Just give it a try and give it your all. Its only 30 minutes! Itʼs very comforting knowing we are all there for the same reason and we all had to start somewhere.
5. In one sentence how would you describe your experience at FCE?
This place and community has been my saving grace because I feel great being here and being a part of something that has such a positive effect on so many women!
