How long have you been a member of Fit Chick Express and what brought you here? I’ve been a member since June 2014. I’ve had an on-again-off-again relationship with working out. I was in one of my ‘off’ periods when I read about FitChick’s 30 minute bootcamps in Longmont magazine and thought that it might be a fun way to meet people in our new community. Oh yeah, and a way to get my butt back in gear.

What has been your greatest accomplishment since becoming a member of FCE? Running a 5k without walking once! (Now I’m training for a 10k, what?!) Also just feeling strong and liking the way I look, in general.

What keeps you motivated? What obstacles have you had to overcome? The ladies I work out with are great (what’s up Night Owls?!) and I’m not gonna lie, the ritual of signing up for class, and knowing someone will notice if I cancel, is a big motivator to get to the gym almost every day.

What is your favorite part of FCE? I love that every workout is different! I’ve taking classes that were the same thing every single time and it’s a total energy drain. I also like that I’m constantly being challenged to get out of my comfort zone!

What advice would you offer to newbies? Believe in yourself and be consistent. The hardest part is showing up. If you can do that, it will only be a few weeks before you find yourself doing things you never thought possible.

In one sentence how would you describe your experience at FCE? A fun, supportive community where health and strength are the ultimate goals!
